Terms and Conditions of Business for The Iron Lady 

1. Definitions: 

In these terms and conditions the following words shall have the following meanings: 

“the Business” means The Iron Lady of 5 Swains, Wellington, Somerset, TA21 8BN


“the Customer” means the person or company having requested the use of the businesses services and to whom these terms and conditions have been delivered. 

2. Contract: 

The Customer providing ironing is deemed as acceptance of the businesses terms and conditions of business and is therefore a legally binding contract between the Customer and the business. No variations to these terms and conditions shall be binding unless expressly confirmed in writing by The Iron Lady management. 

3. Liability for Fees: 

The Customer shall become liable to pay a fee to the business upon the Customer engaging the business for ad hoc or ongoing ironing services. 

4. Payment of Fees: 

Cash on collection will normally be required. Customers requiring ongoing services may be charged monthly or weekly if preferred and by prior arrangement. 

5. Fee Structure: 

The Business will charge £14.00 per hour.  For same/ next day delivery charges will be £16.50 per hour. Please note these fees are  subject to VAT. 
Discounts – all discounts must be provided in writing by the business. The business reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a discount in the event that the fees are not paid within 30 days of the invoice issue date. 

The business requires the return of equipment (hangers/ clips/ bags etc) to be returned by ongoing customers as often as possible, Customers may be asked to pay an additional charges if items are not returned for reuse 

6. Cancellation 

Cancellation of work will only be accepted with 24 hours notice, if less notice is given and the work has been completed the full fee will be charged. If work has been collected and cancelled fuel costs at a rate of 40p per mile will be charged on return of the items. 

6. Liability and refunds: 

Should any items be damaged whilst in the care of the business the Customer will be offered either a like for like replacement or a full cash refund (proof of purchase will not be required but proof of value will). 

The business is not responsible for any items received ripped or soiled or with items such as buttons etc missing.
